 Bettyalice Riehle has been accompanist for the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus since 1976 and for the chorus’s Chamber Singers since its inception in 1995. She attended SUNY College at Fredonia and completed further study at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Ms. Riehle frequently accompanies area and visiting soloists, and is an active member of Chromatic Club and Wednesday Morning Musicale.
During her professional career, Ms. Riehle has been the accompanist for the Buffalo Choral Arts Society, Western New York Chorale, Canisius College Choir, Buffalo State College Choir, and Let’s Make an Opera ensemble of Young Audiences of Western New York. She has performed under numerous conductors including Robert Shaw, Neville Marriner, Michael Tilson Thomas, Julius Rudel, Semyon Bychkov, Maximiano Valdes, and JoAnn Falletta.
In 2001, Ms. Riehle received the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus’s Jessamine E. Long Award for “distinguished service, exceptional dedication, and continuing commitment to choral music in Western New York.” |
